Native American (Wampanoag) question

1.)Who were the Wampanoag people
The Wampanoag people were Native American who live in Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the early 17th century. They mostly eat what is called the three sister(maize, beans, and squash). The Wampanoag was hunters-gatherers who live in wetus.


2.)What values and practice guided their lives
The Wampanoag were a horticultural people who supplemented their agriculture with hunting and fishing. They move near the coast in the summer to take advantage of fishing and seafood but move inward during the winter

3.)How did the native people view pilgrim
When the pilgrim first came the native people left them alone until one day they approach the pilgrim and help them from starvation and cure diseases. Some native thought the pilgrim was a negative influence on their tribes.

4.)List and describe some of the interaction the Native American had with the pilgrim
The native taught the pilgrim how to grow and catch food and
taught the Pilgrims how to find edible native foods, such as berries and nuts
  •  Powhatan Chiefdom resists English settlement in Virgin. He declare war against the pilgrim. This ended with a a treaties between the Indians and the English. The treaty signed in 1677 goes largely unheeded. As a result, Virginia’s Native people are forced from their homelands by thousands of English newcomers.
